Jewels of the Rainbow
Victoria grew up in a pre-internet age, and instead spent hours reading books. Later she worked in libraries and was introduced to fantasy fiction, as opposed to sci-fi. She began writing her own versions, set in London where she was living at the time. Some years later she moved to Cornwall, and enjoyed rewriting her stories, putting them in Cornwall instead of London. Later, after giving up the day job to do holiday lets from home with her husband, she had time to join writers’ groups, go to talks and workshops, and finally had the courage to have her first book self-published with a firm from Padstow. The book had been stand-alone until she realised it could have a sequel, and soon there was a third, to complete the trilogy. Only – a fourth came along, which should be out later this year. Well, ‘The hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy’ was a trilogy in 5 parts. And if it’s good enough for Douglas Adams..
The books are set in West Cornwall - Penzance, Pendeen and Chapel Carn Brea by St Just - in the modern world of cars and smartphones, with a bit of time travel.
