Stitch and Glass

I am a stained glass artist living near Penzance in beautiful Cornwall. The light, colour and beauty of the Cornish land and seascapes provide the inspiration for my work. I enjoy using the immense variety of glass colours and textures that are available, to make all sorts of creations, from smaller hanging suncatchers, to larger pieces designed to stand in a window or on a table where the light can find them.

I use the Tiffany method of copper foiling the pieces of glass I have cut and ground to shape, before soldering them together. Finally, I use patina and wax polishes (and a lot of elbow grease!) to ensure a beautiful, shining and colourful finished piece emerges.
